Emergency bath leak traced after water came through a ceiling
AFS attended an emergency call-out in Braunstone after water escaped from beneath a bath and came through the ceiling below. The inspection found more than one route for water to escape.
- The bath appeared too small for the opening, with trim and silicone bridging the gap to the wall. That seal had failed.
- Perished sealing washers on the bath fittings created a further leak path above and beneath the bath.
- We traced the source, explained the findings and set out the permanent remedial work needed, including correcting the bath-to-wall installation.
