Emergency flood response after a Scalemaster leak in Braunstone
AFS responded to an evening emergency in Braunstone after water began spraying from a Scalemaster water-treatment unit, apparently from around the unit body or its push-fit connection.
What AFS did
Diagnosis and repair
We isolated the affected pipework, stopped the active leak and completed a safe temporary repair to protect the home while the correct replacement unit was sourced.
Useful guidance
What to watch for
Where a specialist component cannot be replaced immediately, making the system safe and clearly explaining the next step is often the most responsible first response. The correct part can then be installed rather than an unsuitable substitute.
